You read that right. This year we are going to deepen our knowledge of God and the great story of how he worked to save mankind. It will be challenging but the reward will be great. In order for you to succeed in not just reading the Bible in a year but the growth that you will harvest as a result, you will need to make it a priority. Set aside a specific time each day to read, pray, and reflect. Don’t slack off because it is a Saturday or its a snow day so you don’t have to wake up long before sunrise to get the kids ready for school. If you don’t have enough time in the day, go to bed early and get up early. Turn off Netflix because binge watching can wait 🙂 Seriously though, setting a specific time each day and being consistent is key. You will need to guard this time as if it were a matter of life and death. Because it is a matter of spiritual life.
What do you read? Well don’t fret because we’ve got you covered. You can download the Bible in a Year reading guide, print it out and keep in your Bible reading and prayer spot. Or you can visit the following webpage each day and click on the passage for the day. http://www.christianity.com/bible/year/niv1984/cjan01.htm Of course you can just visit westunion.cc and the passages will be listed for the week.
